(Hong Kong, 11 July 2019) — HKSH Eastern Medical Centre, a new medical landmark in Hong Kong East which uniquely houses a specially designed cancer centre, a community-based family medicine outpatient clinic and a health assessment unit, was officially opened today.

The Li Shu Fong Building of HKSH Eastern Medical Centre, with a total floor area of over 20,000 square metres, will join Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and HKSH Healthcare as part of the HKSH Medical Group. Earlier in the day, the Group also celebrated the topping out of the adjacent Tsao Yin Kai Block of the Centre in A Kung Ngam, Shau Kei Wan, where a hospital and a proton therapy centre are being built with commissioning targeted in 2022, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the founding of HKSH.
