(14 August 2018, Hong Kong) On 4 March 2010, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital (HKSH) was the first hospital in Hong Kong to have received the prestigious Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) accreditation. This year, HKSH attained full accreditation from ACHS for the third time, with a total of six Extensive Achievements (EA) awarded in recognition of its outstanding performance in areas including prevention and management of pressure injuries and security management. The good results were achieved in spite of the fact that HKSH was facing more stringent assessment criteria under the EQuIP6 (Evaluation and Quality Improvement Program, 6th edition).
