About Us

Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital is the first private hospital in Hong Kong to provide a full time in-house Podiatry service to in and out patients. A Podiatrist is a foot specialist who is trained to assess, diagnose and treat problems of the foot and associated structures.

The podiatric treatments on offer to care for the health of your foot are extensive. Apart from basic nail care and debridement of callus/ corn, the service also provides cryosurgery, applications of topical medications and carries out procedures under local anesthetic.

In the management of complex high risk foot conditions (e.g. diabetic foot), podiatrists can provide wound care and complication screening which includes vascular examination and neurological assessments of the lower limb etc.

Podiatrist also conducts biomechanical assessment and observes your walking pattern (gait analysis) in order to better understand your foot problems in related to your lower limb structure. Through prescription of specific exercise, physical therapy, functional foot orthosis and related appliances to help you to solve the foot problems.
